Reporting to and supporting the Operations Officer, the Accounting Supervisor is responsible for the bank’s general ledger and accounting issues including managing reconcilements in a centralized environment. Primary responsibilities include general ledger, accruals, daily reconcilements, call reports and related personnel management.
Manages and provides backup support for bookkeeping duties. As needed will provide assistance with other duties, such as special reports, budgeting and research.
Will assist customers and employees as needed with various account issues, operational questions, or other service-related problems.
As part of the overall team of bank employees, this person may be required to help as needed in other areas or with other assignments.
EDUCATION AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
• A two or four-year degree in business or related field preferred.
• A minimum of five years’ experience in bank operations preferred.
• Must be able to work under stress and handle difficult situations.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred but not required.
